Liner--
''When I started the first record, I had no idea what would come out of it.. or how it would turn out and how fast I could do it. I knew I would get impatient with myself, because in the beginning of it.. it was a definite challenge to just jump out into my own world of creativty and make a record. Because you know that's exactly what it was, a leap for whatever I wanted the record to be. A little before I started it, I had a dream title for the record, which was acually 'The Fall Of Man' I just really loved the intensity and story behind that title and I hoped to incorporate that title throughout the whole record. And that's kind of what I did, except for the fact that it wasn't just man that fell.. but the purpose was to show how I fell too, and there was a lot of personal story and truth in it that was going to show through the first rec, and as it completed.. around the end.. I wrote a song called The Fall of Man, and it made the whole story of the all around record, into one story. One song. And as soon as I knew it, it was done. It was a major accomplishment too! I had it done so quickly! I mean, this was my very first mature music that I had ever written. I had no lesson, ever in my life musically and here I was, you know hoping for the best outcome for a noob record (Haha). And I thought, you know.. as noob as I might be, I am so proud of this record and all that it has become and just all that I had learned in the months that it took to finish.
So at the end, I released the track list and title and everything and I did want liner notes.. but you know, I'm a noob.. what noob needs liner notes? And I also thought .. you know, the music should say it all.
So about a week and a half after I finished TFOM.. i wrote the song Forget. It was a lot different then the stuff that I had put into TFOM, because it was a happy, feel-good song. So I decided, there is going to be a second record. As proud as I was of TFOM, I wanted to take my time in this record and just make a second record that all in all, topped the first one and just blew it away and still love the first record. So I started in the middle of June, and the entire summer, the only time I had to work on it was on the weekends, and sometimes in the afternoons during the week when I had inspiration to write. One day in the end of August, I pulled all the ideas I had together (Because in the beginning all I had was many different little ideas, not full songs) and I realized that the record was two thirds done! So I worked the last part of August so hard and was determined to finish it for September. On a weekend, I finished the last song I had trouble with which was The Dark I See, and all I needed was a title. I thought, wow I did'nt have a set idea of what this record was gonna be, because it's so many different things with one message I couldn't name. I didn't want to pull a random album title, So I went through the meanings of each song on the record and I came up with the powerful statement song, DO NOT WITHER. It's in caps.. because it's important and so you see that importance. So, the meaning of it all was.. Do Not wither.. whatever happens.
So that's the liner for The Fall of Man, and DO NOT WITHER.
Thank You. And finally, as far as a 3rd record goes. We will see if there is a chance.
- b Merryweather."
